Signs the Apocalypse is at hand.....

What do Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman and Justin Timberlake have in common?

1. They are all in a movie being shot in Vancouver called "Eddison" and...

2. ...scenes from that movie will be filmed at VPL Central on the weekend of March 13/14.

Strange Birthday.

The least weird thing that's happened to me today (it helps if you know I'm wearing a T-shirt with this design):

(heavy E.Euro accent) Excuse me young man, may I ask you about your T-Shirt? (/heavy E.Euro accent)

"Sure.......but let me start off by saying it's satire."(I've had this conversation before)

"It's what?"

"Satire. It's...you know...a joke."

"Ah, so you don't believe in communism? I was once President of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia so I know.....Communism is no good. Well,....goodbye young man."

And now I'm trying to figure out which of these men I was talking to.

Warner Bros. Cartoons Filmography

Despite being raised on KVOS Ch. 12's Funarama, reading this has made me realize I have not seen every Bugs Bunny cartoon. And that's just not right.

TASCHEN Books: DDR Design - 1949-1989

East German consumer products "daringly" acquired before the wall was broken down. From foodstuffs to household appliances, East German packaging and product design - sober yet slightly kitsch - reveals a little-known side of German popular history.

Sprachlos Cigars....the pinnacle of East German Carcinogen technology.

Logo Graveyard

Logos, like elephants, also have a special place where they go to die.

Like how the Library is the deathing place for B.A.'s and M.A.'s

Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord...

Things I'd Do If I Ever Became An Evil Overlord...
:
  • "My Legions of Terror will have helmets with clear Plexiglas visors, not face-concealing ones that can hide the enemy.

  • My ventilation ducts will be too small to crawl through.

  • My noble half-brother whose throne I usurped will be killed, not kept imprisoned in a forgotten cell of my dungeon.

  • Shooting is not too good for my enemies and should be done ASAP.

  • The artifact which is the source of my power will not be kept on the Mountain of Despair beyond the River of Fire guarded by the Dragons of Eternity. It will be in my safe-deposit box. The same applies to the object which is my one weakness. "

Ladies United for the Preservation of Endangered Cocktails

This site is dedicated to the Gin Fizz, the Widow's Kiss, and the Singapore Sling - the drinks our mothers and grandmothers drank, the drinks we strive to save from extinction as a small measure of remembering those great women and their great cocktail parties.

Stubby Beer Bottles of the Motherland

The stubby web site: "The stubby beer bottle was used by the Canadian breweries between 1961 and 1986, replacing the old long neck beer bottle. The stubby was a very sturdy bottle and could be refilled numerous times.
In 1983 Carling O'Keefe Breweries began bottling Miller in a US style private mould bottle and soon after the other breweries also switched over to their own private mould bottles. Most of these bottles were then discontinued after a few years because of the cost and replaced with a common long neck beer bottle, but the stubby was abandoned."
